  Joined: Tue Mar 13 2007, 08:21PM Posts: 89 | From: Jason As you may know we have faced a predicament recently where Draycote were unable to hold our open meeting that was scheduled into the calendar for 13/14 March. We have been exploring options and today it was confirmed that we can utilise Pitsford (near Northampton). This keeps the event in the Midlands where most 505 sailors from around the country can easily travel to, so we should see a good turnout. Also Ian Pinnell who has yet to receive his new boat has volunteered to be race officer, assuming his boat isn't delivered and ready by that weekend. The schedule for racing will be 1230 start on Saturday 13th March, two races back to back. And then 3 races back to back on the Sunday, with a start time to be agreed, but is likely to be early, so we can pack away and travel home for a reasonable time. Further details will follow once they are confirmed, but we wanted to communicate something quickly so you all know the revised location of the event. In the meantime, I would like to pass on our thanks to Ian Pinnell & Charlie Walters for confirming the event with Pitsford so quickly and look forward to seeing you all there, for the first open meeting of the year.
